When Denver Realty Group approached us to create a game-changing new website, we were delighted with the challenge. Not only did this ambitious team of realtors expect a sleekly designed, UX rich website that reflected its strong brand identity, but the project required integration with numerous interfaces for industry compliance.
Even though we’ve completed numerous projects for international clients, we knew this project came with unique challenges. We couldn’t wait to get stuck in.
Naturally, our Property Flow process was the basis for our approach, and the results? Judge for yourself, but we’re quietly impressed with our success.
We’ve worked incredibly hard to deliver a site that meets
functionality requirements without compromising design.

DRG is a complex website. It features two API integrations, Yardi, MLS and ReColorado requirements, advanced features, numerous target personas and business services and a new brand identity.
Our approach, we conducted a detailed Discovery phase to deep-dive into DRGs brand and technical analysis.
The goal, to create a stunning and user-friendly website that delivered professionalism and consistency across the user journey. The new site was to provide clear information and talk to the 5 focus areas of the business:
We created a digital extension of the brand identity, working with the supplied logo and typography to define styling, formats and hierarchy. We also created a content style guide, specifying the tone, style, grammar and formatting rules for the brand, ensuring consistency of message.
Design highlights include:
The key challenge was MLS - a multiple listing service system that is mandated by the US National Association of Realtors. The requirement is that all brokers share listings of other brokers, along with other compliance requirements. This meant that the DRG website had to draw down listings from ReColorado.com, yet display them consistency with DRG’s elegant style guidelines. There are nearly 40,000 properties for sale from real estate brokers across Colorado.
This was a new frontier to the Liquid team. So, we enthusiastically developed a number of innovative solutions to ensure MLS compliance without compromising on design. We explored a number of platforms that sync with MLS but found that several did not enable custom design we required. The dated look of some of the pre-set widgets was not acceptable to our design. After considerable research, we devised a solution. By integrating the platform with SimplyRETS we were able to input the MLS data the client required without sacrificing brand consistency and design aesthetics.
In addition, a number of compliance restrictions from REColorado were required. For example, the IDX logo, brokered by details and MLS number must be displayed on all listings and many more. We also were required to seek approval from MLS - so our fingers and toes were crossed as we awaited their compliance approval.
The site’s pages are fully updated by CMS Wordpress with numerous customised components. This allows the DRG team to make updates to the site at any time.
We are continuing to work with the DRG team to evolve the website functionality and offerings. We have successfully implemented a phase 2 Yardi API integration for the rental listings.
Looking forward to what comes next!
